We will be working on Explorio whether our ICO succeeds or fails. We have a vision of inspiring and empowering millions of people to travel more and we are determined to achieve it. That being said, the money we can raise during our ICO will help us build the platform quicker, grow faster and achieve our vision sooner.
We haven't set the date of our Public ICO yet and will do so on our Telegram group, Twitter profile and e-mail newsletter in the near future.
The company is registered in Gibraltar as "Explorio Limited."

Yes, you need an ERC20 compatible wallet to store your XPL tokens.
1 ETH = 20,358 Explorio tokens (XPL).
The minimum amount is 0.1 ETH. The maximum amount is 500 ETH.
The soft cap of our ICO is 3,350 ETH.
The hard cap of our ICO is 20,000 ETH.
The tokens will be distributed to buyers immediately after the crowdsale, except for the bonus tokens, which are vested and will be released three months after the crowdsale.
Explorio tokens (XPL) are strictly utilities that can be used in many different ways, such as:
- Spent on our Q&A platform to ask incentivized questions;
- Spent by businesses for boosting reviews of certain attractions/establishments;
- Spent on our marketplace to purchase digital goods from other travelers;
- Spent to book travel-related goods and services from our partners;
- Traded or exchanged to other cryptocurrencies or fiat currencies.
Explorio could not exist without the blockchain because we could not reward our content contributors with fiat currencies, as the transaction fees would eat up most of the rewards. Moreover, we need to store all of our content (or at least cryptographically verified references to our content) in the blockchain so that people could trust it completely, because no one can compromise content integrity in the blockchain.
We are supported by many prominent travel influencers, who will be the first users to use Explorio and bring their audiences on board as well. Not only that, our team has extensive experience in building, growing and maintaining strong online communities.
There will be no unsold Explorio (XPL) tokens, as they will only be minted upon withdrawal. Assuming the soft cap was reached, the crowdsale will still be considered successful.
Our main competitor is TripAdvisor, although we are also competing against other services like Lonely Planet, Google Maps, Booking, Agoda, HostelWorld, FourSquare, as well as some upstarts like Steemit and others. See section 6. of our whitepaper for a detailed analysis of our competitive landscape.
We need own tokens to reward our users. People will earn rewards in Explorio Honor tokens (XPLH) that they can then redeem to Explorio tokens (XPL) and use them as utilities on our platform and while traveling. If we did not have our own tokens, we could not reward our users.
Explorio's long-term vision is to inspire and empower millions of people to travel more. We could not be more excited about working on this project and we are determined to make our long-term vision a reality.
